School of Mines students create adaptive mobility device for injured veteran

Engineering students at the Colorado School of Mines have spent the past year developing an adaptive mobility solution for an injured veteran in Nebraska.
Seniors Hannah Gates, Karuna Owens, Kate Kudlac, Kira Buckmelter, Sam Koch, Silas Ford, Skylar Abernathey and Victoria Martin were challenged to design a comfortable dog harness with a rolling cart attachment. Through their partnership with Project S.E.R.V.E., they collaborated directly with Navy veteran Mary Emmerick to bring the device to life.
